Hiking in LaBagh Woods

Yes, I had to post this twice. my Ghost instance decided to lock me out and I had to rebuild the site, oh the fun!

The weather was perfect, and I was able to get a few great shots with the camera. Really happy with how a good chunk of these photos came out, especially after some grading in Lightroom.

The hike offered me some time to reflect on how cyclical nature is. The beauty in the forest is not just in the living things, like the flowers, the birds, and the bugs, it's also in the presence of death. Scattered across the forest floor on our hike were dead branches, logs and more, creating new homes and new nutrients for life. Lichen and mushrooms grow over the dead matter and build up the foundations for a new generation to come after.

I am going to work on finding a way to sell prints of these photos, probably using Shopify. I'll make a post when I get that setup and working.
